If a player has a flop, or a set of three or more cards, he or she may discard any or all of those cards. Cards are then shuffled. The player with the highest flop is the first dealer. He or she is then seated to the left of the big blind.
When a player has a straight, he or she is able to take the cards in his or her hand from the top of the deck. There are hundreds of variations of the game. It is also important to know the rules for the variant you are playing. Generally, a player must bet the same amount of chips per hand.
In the U.S., most players use white or blue poker chips. In Europe, red or dark-colored chips are used. Usually, the chip that is worth the least is the blue chip. Other chips can be red, black, or even green.
