After each betting interval, the player who has the highest unmatched fifth card wins the pot. If a tie occurs, a player can still earn points.
In Texas Hold’Em, the highest unmatched five-card hand wins. In most other poker games, a straight is five cards in sequential order, and a flush is five cards in the same suit. Occasionally, some variations add jokers or wild cards. These are supplemental cards that can take any suit.
The term kitty refers to a special fund created for poker players. The kitty is made by cutting a low-denomination chip from pots that contain more than one raise. The kitty is then divided among the players who are still in the game.
